The short version
Mainstage collects only what we need to run the event: who you are, which pass you bought and anything you ask us to arrange. We never sell your details. You can ask to see, correct or delete them at any time by writing to hello@mainstage.events.
What we collect
- Registration details: your name, email, company, role and country, from the registration and contact forms.
- Pass details: the pass you chose, any workshops you added and whether you need an invoice.
- Things you tell us so we can look after you: dietary needs, access requirements, T-shirt size. These are optional and only used for that purpose.
- Website data: pages visited and the device and browser used, through privacy-friendly analytics.
How we use it
- To confirm your registration and print the name on your badge.
- To send you practical information before and during the event.
- To send speaker announcements, only if you signed up for them. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- To keep accounts and meet the law of the country we operate in.
Payments
Card payments are taken by our ticketing provider. We never see or store your full card number.
Photos and recording
Talks are filmed and photographers work in the hall and the hallways. If you would rather not appear in published photos, tell the registration desk and we will give you a marker for your badge.
Sponsors
A sponsor only receives your contact details when you choose to give them, for example by letting a booth scan your badge. We do not hand sponsors the attendee list.
We never sell or rent attendee data, and we never share it for someone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as the law asks for accounts (usually seven years). Dietary and access notes are deleted within 30 days of the event. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@mainstage.events and we will reply within one month.
